Kids Ministry Director
Deborah Block
Ms. Deborah Block has 3 years of Children’s Leader experience at TGP, along with 5 years of teaching in schools, 7 years of professionally working with children, 17 years of leadership experience in VBS and other church programs, and 21 years of volunteering in children’s church. Her heart is to walk alongside every student as they discover who God truly is, how deeply He loves them, and how the story of Christian history is intimately woven into their own lives.
While she does not have a Tribal affiliation, she studied four Native American Wisconsin history courses at UW Madison under David O’Connor. Outside of ministry, she treasures the gift of community, whether that means spending quality time with family and friends, getting lost in a good book, or enjoying movies and music with the people she loves most.
Her heart beats for every child to discover the joy of talking with God, not because they were told to, but because they encountered His love and could not walk away. Through exploring the different types of prayer, she wants students to experience worship not as a routine, but as a genuine and wholehearted response to a God who loves them deeply. By connecting the history of the Bible to God’s unchanging heart, she hopes each child comes to see that Scripture is not just an ancient story, but God’s personal love letter written with them in mind.
Every week, she creates space for students to discover how God truly sees them, how deeply He values them, and how eagerly He desires a relationship with them. She will never force a decision on students, but she will faithfully show up each week, point them to a God who is always pursuing their hearts, and trust that His love and the prayers of the community will do the rest. Her greatest hope is that every child leaves not just knowing about God, but truly knowing Him and choosing, with all their heart, to worship and follow Him.
